2006 PROJECT
Subscriptions for the 2006 Project via the PDS dated 14th March 2006 closed on the 15th of June 2006.
The Offer consisted of two Managed Investment Schemes namely:
- 2006 Swan Hill Almond Grower Project (Grower Project) ARSN 118 163 929
- 2006 Swan Hill Almond Orchard Asset Trust (Asset Trust) ARSN 118 164 097
The 2006 Project involves:
- The Grower Project involves the growing and management of almond trees in an orchard located near Swan Hill Victoria. Growers will receive any net almond sale proceeds from the sale of the almonds.
- The Asset Trust owns the orchard assets including the land, trees, water licences. These assets are leased for the Grower Project. Unitholders receive an annual Trust distribution from Project Year 1.
The 2006 Project offering consisted of up to 3531 Grower Allotments (0.125 hectare each) and 3531 Orchard Asset Owner Units over a site covering 440 hectares.
Grower tax deductions are covered by Australian Tax Office Ruling Number PR 2006/14.
The 2006 Project will have its first harvest in Feb/Mar 2009. The orchard is expected to reach maturity in financial year 2012/2013.
